Periodontic

Have you recently been treated for gingivitis or periodontal disease?

If so, then you are feeling good about your mouth and gums. Your teeth have no plaque and tartar and you won’t need to visit your dentist again for another year, right?

This is a common myth about periodontal disease...

Many patients are not aware that periodontal maintenance is the only sure way to keep gum disease from progressing. Periodontal maintenance is regularly performed at more frequent intervals (3 or 4 months) following procedures such as scaling and root planing. Periodontal maintenance includes the removal of plaque and tartar, scaling and tooth planing and polishing. Your dentist and hygienist will determine the frequency the periodontal maintenance is needed.

Periodontal Treatment

We provide non-surgical services to treat periodontal disease. In some cases, we will refer to a specialist (periodontist) for consultation and treatment.
